While Certina has been making high-end timepieces since 1888, it was in 1959 that the company developed its renowned dive watch technology and adopted the sea turtle as its official logo. The year 1959 also happens to be the year STC was formally established as the world’s first sea turtle conservation organization. As part of this partnership, Certina has issues a variant of one of their dive watches that includes the STC logo engraved on the bottom of the watch.
